It all started with cicadas. I met them everywhere and soon found they were not pieces of the same epoch. Some were decorated with diamonds, others were minted in plain aluminum. They were a huge hit of the '60s revival but arrived in the XXI century rather odd.
They were also other stars of the decades. Bees, dragonflies, flies. What made one or another insect fashionable? I thought.
